The Bewbush Academy is a large, vibrant, multicultural primary school in Crawley. We are a warm and welcoming school who strives for excellence in all aspects of school life. The children at The Bewbush Academy enjoy an impressive learning environment which supports the highest standards of teaching and learning. Our EYFS unit is made up from three Reception classes with the capacity for 90 children.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational EYFS leader who will continue to take our Early Years Foundation Stage on an exciting journey to excellence. You will be responsible for leading the EYFS which includes a team of dedicated teachers and support staff.

have an ability to lead curriculum, learning, teaching and assessment and hold others to account
have vision, high expectations and enthusiasm
have very good interpersonal skills and be able to motivate children and staff
be able to promote positive relationships within the school and wider community
actively support the Headteacher and SLT in an absolute commitment to sustained school improvement
have an excellent working knowledge of teaching across the EYFS and KS1 curriculum, including early reading, maths and phonics
have a clear understanding of how our youngest children learn
have a clear understanding of effective transitions into Reception and into Year 1
be organised, friendly, approachable and be able to support the ethos of our school
be able to evaluate and review pupil progress
be able to adapt to the needs of individuals
be sympathetic to the needs of EAL pupils and understand our local multi-cultural community
be willing to participate in and lead training and collaborative initiatives, working with our central team of TKAT schools
