Early Years Lead/Senior Leader job summary

Local Academy Councillors seek to appoint a dedicated, passionate and motivated teacher to join our supportive and committed teaching team, working in our newly refurbished Early Years unit. We have a 2 year old Nursery provision, a 3-5 year old Nursery provision and Reception within our unit.

The successful candidate will lead and teach in the Early Years, so experience is essential. This role will involve working with our Early Years team to continue our journey to develop and enhance the curriculum and provision in school.

The successful applicant must be:

  • Be dedicated to working in close partnership with children, staff and parents within our caring church school and local community.
  • Be enthusiastic, resourceful, resilient and enjoy a challenge.
  • Be flexible and willing to show initiative.
  • Have a great sense of fun and positivity.
  • Have high expectations of children and a strong commitment to raising standards.
  • Be creative and able to make learning exciting, memorable and enjoyable.
  • Expect to take on subject leadership responsibilities.
  • An effective classroom practitioner with high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
  • Work well as part of a team and be willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life

Depending upon experience and stage of career, there is also the possibility to join the Senior Leadership Team to take a more strategic role within the school.

The ability to converse at ease with children, parents and staff and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
