Further details about the role

We are excited to be recruiting an Early Years leader for our brand-new school; Whipman Woods Flying High Academy. This unique opportunity enables the newly appointed Early Years leader to work alongside the Headteacher to shape a vision for a brand-new provision. You will establish an aspirational environment and welcome the very first cohort of children to the school. As Early Years leader you will lead a small team to deliver the very best to every child.

Whipman Woods Flying High Academy will open its doors to children and the community in September 2024. Whipman Woods will be the third new school that Flying High has opened, following on from the significant success of Hucknall Flying High Academy and Rivendell Flying High Academy. Up to 30 children will be welcomed into the foundation stage in September 2024, with a nursery provision due to open in January 2025. Working alongside the Headteacher, appointed team and Flying High central team you will put in place the resources, environment and systems to ensure that within EYFS we deliver the very best for our children and families.

Flying High is a partnership of 33 primary schools, with a significant track record of success. Collectively we aim to impact social change, by making every day count for every child and every community. At the heart of our success is a commitment to working together to deliver the very best for our children and to enable each member of staff to maximise their potential. As the Early Years Leader, you will be supported by our Early Years Lead Practitioner, and form part of a team of EYFS leaders across our partnership; working closely to learn, develop and grow together.
