We are looking for someone who can make a difference to a child’s learning, who is committed to developing self-confident and independent children
We currently have vacancies within our Early Years department for learning support assistants in both our Pre-School and our Reception class. A knowledge and understanding of the EYFS would be beneficial to this role, however training will be provided.
The role will include: -
- Working alongside class teachers and other practitioners to support the needs of all the children
- Ability to identify, support and plan for children’s next steps
- Implementing personalised strategies and plans
- Taking guidance from the SENCO, teachers and parents
- Providing tailored, individual support to facilitate the child’s learning.
- Monitor and feedback on progress
- Supporting small groups of, and/or individual children with their learning
- Being responsible for the learning and achievement of children you work with
- Supporting children in a pastoral role
- Demonstrating high expectations for children
- Upholding the school values at all times
- Being highly professional
- Able to make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
