Early Years Phase Leader job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a newly structured leadership team at Bowhill Primary School as the Early Years Phase Leader, leading 5 mixed EYFS/Year 1 classes as part of the next stage of the school’s development.
The Governors of Bowhill Primary School in conjunction with the Exeter Learning Academy Trust are seeking to permanently appoint an outstanding Early Years practitioner with excellent communication skills, high aspirations and the desire to make a real difference for the outcomes of children at this most crucial stage in their development.
You will work with the school’s leadership team to ensure all children are receiving the best possible education. You will have experience of leading a team within your current role and have a background of implementing school improvement.
This is a permanent post and an excellent opportunity for a talented teacher with the drive and enthusiasm to play a crucial role in helping to raise, still further, the standards of achievement at Bowhill Primary. The role is class based with dedicated leadership release time to ensure initiatives and school improvements can be thoroughly embedded.

• able to articulate a clear vision, with high expectations of children’s learning and behaviour
• an exemplary teacher, who is passionate about education and committed to their classroom practice
• an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills and professionalism
• able to effectively monitor teaching and learning to support colleagues to drive sustained improvement
• able to model and promote the highest expectations of teaching and learning
• determined to strive for excellence in all aspects of school life
• able to recognise and build on the strengths of others
