Early Years Practitioner job summary

We are looking for someone to support our young children aged between two and four to learn and develop through play.

The ideal candidate needs to be caring, patient and able to use their initiative and to work flexibly as part of a team.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant level 2 or 3 Childcare Certificate, or will already be on a training programme for a minimum of Level 2 Early Years and Childcare. In addition to being able to converse at ease with staff, families and professionals in accurate spoken English. Candidates should also have good written and IT skills.

You would be key person to approximately 12 children, and have good knowledge of child development and the EYFS. We operate a free flow system at times, so be prepared to be outdoors in all weathers! You will be involved in the day to day care and learning of the children and work with groups and/or individuals .

The post is 32.5 hours per week 8.30 to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only. from 1st September 2025. .You may also have the opportunity to work across our Early Years which includes the Reception classes.

This post will include work in the future breakfast and after school club for Pre-School children. This would be operating on a rota basis and the pay and times of work adjusted accordingly.
