Early Years Practitioner job summary
We are looking to appoint an early years practitioner to work across our Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful applicant will be responsible to the Early Years Lead and the Early Years Deputy Lead. They will be responsible for ensuring the best progress possible for the children within the setting.
Working hours will be 32.5 per week, 8.30am -3.30pm Monday – Friday, term time plus 1 week (39 weeks per year)
Duties would include:
- To work under the guidance of the EYFS leader in the planning and implementation of work programmes with individuals or groups of pupils or the whole class to promote effective teaching and learning.
- To provide general support to the EYFS leader and deputy in the management and organisation of the pupils and the learning environment.
- To assist them in creating and maintaining a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for both children and families.
- To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop.
- To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
The position of early years practitioner will be required to start at the beginning of the Spring term January 2025;
Rate of pay – dependent on qualifications and experience.
Preferred criteria
- Qualified to full and relevant level 3 or above in childcare.
- Experience of working with children under the age of five for at least two years.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
