Early Years Practitioner job summary

Irby Primary School is part of the Oak Trees Multi-Academy Trust, which consists of thirteen schools on the Wirral Peninsula.

Irby Primary School is a happy and successful one-form entry school, with enthusiastic, highly motivated, friendly and happy children and staff. We require an enthusiastic, hard-working, self-motivated Early Years Practitioner to join our Nursery/F1 team from Monday 13th April 2026.

13hrs, 6.5 hrs per day on Monday and Friday.

The role will include working as part of a team; under the direction of the Lead Practitioner, preparing and carrying out activities to meet with the EYFS framework. Working alongside individual and groups of pupils in activities, establishing good relationships with the children and parents alike.

First Aid training will be required and funded by the school.

The successful candidate will be one who relates well to children and staff, and who is committed to making the time in our school an enjoyable experience for our school family.
