Early Years Practitioner Level 2 job summary
We are seeking to appoint a qualified Early Years assistant to support our Foundation children. A working knowledge of the Foundation Stage Curriculum is essential and experience in a Foundation Stage setting desirable. Part of the hours will be supporting the children at lunchtime. Hawkedon is three form entry and a highly successful school with a reputation for developing skills, talent and an inspirational level of excellence for everyone.The successful candidate will:
- Have NVQ3 or above in Teaching and Learning Support, Childcare Learning and Development or Teaching Assistant or other equivalent qualification.
- Have at least one year’s experience of working with children
- Be passionate about working with children, committed to helping children thrive and get the best start in life.
- Have a warm and positive approach, lots of creative ideas and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication, numeracy & literacy skills
- Be resilient and have a solution-focused approach
- Experience of behaviour management would advantageous
