Early Years Practitioner Level 3 job summary

We are looking for a person with the ability to motivate and challenge, to share good practice and will improve outcomes for children across the federation.

We require;

  • Experience of working with children aged 2 -5
  • Ability to communicate effectively to children and adults
  • Basic literacy and numeracy to support learning needs
  • To work as part of a team
  • Support children in all areas of personal development
  • Contribute towards and follow lesson plans
  • Contribute to the monitoring, recording and assessment of pupil's progress
  • Recognise and act on discrimination
  • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with parents
  • Willing to undertake extra training and development
  • Maths & English Grades C/4 or above or equivalent
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in childcare

We believe it’s a privilege to work in a Resourced Maintained Nursery School and a unique opportunity. The school is a part of a federation of maintained nursery schools who work closely together and are very well supported by the local authority. This ensures support, guidance, high quality training, networking and opportunities for professional development.

Hours of work will be 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday. Wednesday evenings will be required at times for training sessions and supporting the team.
