Early Years Special School Teacher job summary
Sladewood Academy is the newest school within the SAND Academies Trust and, caters for pupils aged 4-11 years with a range of special needs including Autism, Communication and Interaction Delays, Global Learning Delay, attachment and trauma related needs and a range of other complex needs. Sladewood is a Relational School where Ace Aware, Trauma Informed and Restorative Practice are at the heart of all we do, ‘Together we Thrive’.
About you
If you have the ability to see the 'whole' child (including Communication, Language & Interaction, Cognition & Learning, Self Help & Independence, Sensory & Physical and Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs), and you are committed to the education of pupils with a wide range of learning and associated difficulties, we look forward to hearing from you.
The Role
Sladewood is growing and we are looking for another teacher to join our fantastic team. We are looking for a specialist teacher who has worked with children with Autism and complex speech and language needs. The ideal candidate would have had experience in the early years and should have a passion for working with children who have special educational needs and disabilities.
