Early Years Teacher (currently Reception) job summary

We are looking to appoint a permanent, full-time, excellent Early Years teacher (currently Reception class) from September 2022 to join our warm, welcoming and successful school. The successful candidate will demonstrate a love of teaching and be an outstanding classroom practitioner as well as being committed to the school’s ethos of high expectations, high standards, teamwork, creativity and positive relationships.
A thorough understanding of the new Early Years Statutory Framework is essential.
We can offer you a large, experienced, supportive, fun-loving team of staff to work alongside; hard-working, caring and friendly children; lots of supportive parents/carers; a very effective, supportive Governing body and excellent professional development opportunities.

This post is suitable for experienced teachers or ECTs. The successful candidate will have the support of excellent, experienced teaching assistants and ECTs will be mentored, supported and developed by our effective teaching mentors in partnership with Potentia Teaching Alliance.

We pride ourselves at Anthony Bek (Ofsted ‘Good’) as having many unique attributes, such as our rewards scheme or enrichment offer, and we are fortunate to have lots of outdoor space and facilities. We are a one form entry school with a minimum of one teaching assistant in every class. Staff work closely and support each other across the Key Stage and wider school. We value staff well-being and a work/life balance and ensure staff benefit from access to a wide range of curriculum schemes to make planning and resourcing as easy/effective as possible. We have slightly higher than average numbers of pupils from disadvantaged or challenging backgrounds and are therefore looking for a nurturing teacher who can build strong relationships with pupils, stakeholders and the wider community.
