St. Aloysius’ Catholic Primary School is a vibrant Catholic School situated in the heart of the city of Oxford. Here we seek to find God in all that we learn and recognise him in one another. We aim to make the best use of our gifts to serve others.

We are currently looking for a candidate with high expectations, who is determined to provide the highest quality education for the children in their care. Someone who has experience of the Early Years (either in post or training) and a commitment to working as part of a team.

We can offer pupils who are excited about learning, well-motivated and supported by their families and a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative staff team.

This vacancy would be suitable for an experienced teacher or ECT. We have a long and established history of mentoring students and newly qualified teachers who are starting out in their careers.

We have a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere and are committed to outstanding pastoral care for our students. We have excellent links with our parish and benefit from the many advantages of being right in the heart of this great city.

As part of The Cherwell Partnership we work closely together with other schools to improve our teaching and learning strategies, curriculum and support for vulnerable learners.

Our school is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All cases are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed.
