Early Years Teaching Assistant job summary
The Ferrars Academy is a
very popular, successful and well resourced academy; rated Good by Ofsted in
December 2022, we pride ourselves in delivering excellence in education, for
infant and nursery aged children. We are located on the outskirts of Luton
close to the M1, A5 link roads and the L&D hospital. Our 3 form entry
school has a very diverse school population with a range of different
languages, religions and cultures. Our children are well behaved and learn in a
vibrant and friendly environment.
We are seeking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant ideally with a childcare or nursery nurse qualification and experience fixed term until the end of Spring Term 2025 and to start as soon as possible working with the youngest children in our school. The job will be supporting those who attend our Nursery and Reception provision but may also involve supporting children across the whole school as needs arise.

Applicants for this public
facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse and provide
effective help or advice in fluently spoken English.
This is a fixed term position the end of Spring
Term 2025. 33.5 hours per week, Mon 8:30am
– 5:00pm, Tues – Fri 8:30am – 4:00pm term time only plus 5 inset days (39 weeks
per year) with 1 hour for lunch.
