About Buckton Fields:
Buckton Fields joined the Preston Hedges Trust as a brand new, two form entry school in September 2021. Proud of our exceptionally strong links with the community, and with the school’s brilliant neighbouring businesses, these strong links enrich and complement our creative curriculum and core values. We are a supportive, fun and passionate team who work together to provide the very best education for our children. As a growing school, we are looking to add to our staff team with someone who is entusiastic, motivated and determined to provide high quality provision for our children to continue to thrive.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, we enjoy studying natural beauty at Buckton, not only on our doorstep, but also more broadly as conscious citizens with a love for the world we live in. Our focus is on celebrating every child as an individual; inspiring children to be passionate, empathetic and resilient in everything they do. We are committed to the wellbeing of our children and are determined that every child has their best possible start to school life, experiences an outstanding curriculum, reaches their full potential, and grows to be a happy, confident, well-rounded individual.
About the Role:
We can offer amazing children who love to learn; supportive parents, and an incredible staff ‘family’ who enjoy a bit of fun and make sure that they look out for each other. Our school is a very dynamic and happy place to learn and work in!
Buckton Fields is part of Preston Hedges Trust - an award winning Northamptonshire based Trust with an educational philosophy of ‘Fun, Creativity & Achievement’. We offer the region’s very best learning environments, opportunities and experiences, to staff and pupils in five primary schools located in Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.
We are currently based out of a bespoke building on the Buckton Fields site, and have some fabulous spaces – including a state-of-the-art innovation suite!
As a Trust, we deliver exceptional CPD for our ECTs. We have a Trust ECT group where you can meet and collaborate with other ECTs across the Trust schools; you have opportunities to observe teaching from specialists across the Trust; and our highly experienced mentors and our Trust-led ECT development program will be able to provide individualised support to enable you to be the best teacher you can be.
Further through your career, we have outstanding promotion opportunities across our schools for highly effective and ambitious practitioners. Many of our current Assistant Principals and Principals started their career as an NQT in the Trust, so we really do build and develop from within.
We strongly believe in work/life balance thus we avoid giving unnecessary teacher overload: we keep paperwork to a minimum, collaborate as a Trust to reduce planning burdens, ensure staff meetings are kept to a reasonable length, and our staff wellbeing is as important to us as pupil wellbeing.
If you are passionate about teaching and committed to providing creative learning experiences, we would love to hear from you!
We would strongly encourage you to visit our school to see our happy atmosphere and creativity in action - we are very proud of our thriving learning environment and superb children!
If you would like a tour and to find out more, please e-mail lisa.cogings@buckton.school or phone the school on 01604 931030.
