ECT- September 2025 job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative ECT to join our talented team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is passionate about teaching and is driven to provide the very best possible teaching and learning experiences for our pupils.
Holne Chase is part of the Preston Hedge’s Trust which is built on the ethos of Fun, Creativity and Achievement. With these as the foundations of the school, we are committed to making Holne Chase a very special place to learn; a school which is full of creative, innovative and engaging learning opportunities that encourage pupils to become inquisitive and confident, life-long learners.
The school became part of the Preston Hedges Trust in December 2020 and has successfully been on a journey of massive improvement. With a reinvigorated curriculum reflecting the local community’s needs we nurture aspiration, imagination, fun and creativity, alongside academic achievement. Since joining the Trust and introducing our wonderful new team we have developed closer collaboration with parents and the community and secured significant investment in technology-rich learning spaces.
During our recent visit, Ofsted inspectors saw pupils ‘relishing the range of opportunities’ provided to them and being ‘well prepared for life beyond school.’ and we were graded good in all areas of the Ofsted framework. They also noted that ‘teachers know their subjects well’ and ‘reading is a cornerstone of the curriculum. Books are in every nook and corner.’
As an inclusive school, we work hard to ensure children thrive socially as well as academically. We promote resilience, positivity, respect, empathy, responsibility and aspiration, and foster a positive, caring, supportive learning environment; with an open-door policy for children and families.
As an ECT at Holne Chase, you will be provided with exceptional professional development, so that you can be supported in this every exciting phase of your teaching career. You will have the opportunity to work with leaders at our school who will support you with your individualised support plan to enable you to be the best teacher you can be. In addition, our Trust prioritises the development of ECTs and therefore there are lots of opportunities for you to collaborate with other ECTs from across our Trust, including observing highly effective practice.
From September, we are looking for a teacher who is driven to provide the very best opportunities for our children in either Key Stage One or Key Stage Two. We wish to appoint a teacher who are willing to collaborate with our supportive team to ensure that our ethos of Fun, Creativity & Achievement is brought to life.
We can offer amazing children who love to learn; supportive parents, creative learning environments and an incredible staff team who are incredibly passionate and very supportive. Our school is a wonderful and supportive place to learn and work in, so come and find out more about how you can be part of our exciting journey.
If you are passionate about teaching and committed to providing creative learning experiences, we would love to hear from you! To learn more about the role, this exciting venture and the opportunities that it brings, potential candidates are warmly welcome to meet the Principal and tour our school. Please contact the school office on 01908 373640 or email office@holnechase.org
