Do you want to join a team making a difference to children and young people’s lives?
An opportunity has arisen for a temporary Educarer to cover maternity leave for up to a year. The successful candidate will be supporting pupils who may have complex medical needs by managing and administering daily medical interventions. Although the postholder will be based at John Jamieson School they will be required to work across the East SILC as required.
We are looking for a caring, fun, flexible, resilient, motivated and enthusiastic individual to work alongside our Nursing Team. The workload is challenging and varied and regular comprehensive training will be provided to support you in your role.
Whilst working with us the successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply for any relevant internal roles. As we are a large organisation it is therefore possible a permanent position within our SILC could be secured in an alternative role.
The East SILC has a progressive staffing structure in place for teaching assistants which is supported by Continual Professional Development. A thorough induction process is in place.
The East SILC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS formally CRB) and medical clearance from Leeds City Council’s Occupational Health Service.
It is illegal to apply if you are on the children’s barred list.
The East SILC promotes diversity and wants a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds.
