Education Director – Secondary/6th Form phases job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Executive Leadership Team at Summit Learning Trust. We are seeking a creative, dynamic individual as our Education Director of our Secondary and 6th Form phases. Reporting to, and potentially deputising for our CEO, you will lead our academy improvement strategy and provide protection, support and challenge to our Principals as well as contributing to the wider strategic leadership of our Trust. Standards in our academies have risen in the last 5 years and remain on an upward trajectory. Should the successful candidate aspire to a CEO position in the future, this role will provide tailored support for that individual. The role of Deputy CEO could be considered for the right calibre of candidate.

If you:

  • can articulate a clear vision and inspire those you work with;
  • have exceptional leadership experience of secondary/6th form in urban settings;
  • have a strong track record of building on good practice and driving rapid improvement across academies;
  • are able to evaluate academy standards precisely and accurately;
  • are skilled in effective analysis and use of achievement and progress data;
  • have the ability to plan precisely and strategically for rapid improvement;
  • are passionate about raising achievement for disadvantaged learners; and
  • are entirely committed to promotion of inclusion and diversity and challenging all discrimination,

then we would love to meet you.

You are very welcome to see our schools or college in action; please contact us if you would like to arrange a visit. Potential candidates are very welcome to book an informal discussion about the role with the incoming CEO, Vince Green, by contacting Louise.Quinlan@summitlearningtrust.org.uk .

We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and we expect all applicants to share this commitment. Appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
