Education Welfare Officer and Safeguarding Lead job summary
With the publication of the DFE's Working Together to Improve School Attendance, Pioneer Learning Trust are keen to appoint an experienced Education Welfare Officer with strong knowledge and experience in strategically supporting schools to secure excellent pupil attendance. Our ideal candidate will also have expertise and strong knowledge of safeguarding children in education. The post holder will work across our Trust schools along with partner schools brokering the service from the Trust.
The successful candidate will be a professional who shares our values and who has the drive and resilience to support Trustees to achieve our strategic vision in our trust wide ethos of collaboration balanced with autonomy. The applicant will need to be committed to the pursuit of excellence in our academies supported by the CEO, the Trust Leadership Team and committed Trust Board.

The Pioneer Trust is a small but growing Trust of collaborative schools in Luton, The Trust consists of 3 larger than average primary schools - Chantry Primary Academy, Southfield Primary Academy and Whitefield Primary Academy. We have approximately 1500 pupils in the Trust taught and supported by around 300 staff. We are currently in the process of onboarding a new school and plan to grow to 7 schools with 3000+ pupils in the next two years.
