What skills and experience we're looking for
Education Welfare Officer - Required for Bridge Learning Campus
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only plus inset days and one additional week
Hours:37 hours a week, Mon – Thurs 8.00am – 4.00pm, Fri 8.00am – 3.30pm.
Salary Range:BG8 £24,948 - £26,845 (Actual £22,200 – £23,888)
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who is able to work across the Campus to provide attendance support, working closely with individual students and their families to reduce the barriers they have in coming to school as well as liaising with parents, families and external agencies.
What we are looking for:
* The ability to connect with young people and their families with patience and excellent communication & listening skills
* The ability to build relationships with key professionals and consider the whole child and family unit
* Empathy, tenacity and resilience, with a firm and fair approach
* Skills to deliver interventions directly to young people and / or the family.
* Working alongside the Attendance Manager you will foster a culture of ‘attendance is everyone’s responsibility’ within the community.
