Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As an Education Welfare Officer at Chilton Trinity and Willowdown, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.” We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

As Education Welfare Officer, you will be responsible for:
Leading attendance and behaviour systems across the schools to ensure consistency and impact.
Identifying and supporting pupils with poor attendance through personalised interventions.
Working with families and external agencies to overcome barriers to attendance.
Maintaining and evaluating attendance data and statutory reporting using appropriate systems.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive welfare officer who:
Holds a good standard of education (minimum 3 GCSEs including English at grade C or above).
Has relevant professional qualifications related to safeguarding, social care, education or youth work
Has frontline experience in education, social care, police, or health settings.
Has worked with vulnerable or challenging individuals and understands the complexities of pupil welfare.
Brings experience in teamwork and liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Can prioritise, multi-task, and work independently with confidence.
Has strong IT skills and ideally familiarity with school data systems (e.g., Bromcom).
Understands safeguarding, behaviour management, and the importance of collaborative intervention planning.
