What skills and experience we're looking for
Able to travel throughout Leeds City Council boundaries and move location within the service working at different sites /areas depending on need.
Able to maintain detailed, accurate, effective, confidential and up to date records of casework.
Able to prepare concise, detailed and accurate reports, producing documentation which reflects the complex needs of vulnerable/ challenging young people.
Able to utilise appropriate IT and communication technology to ensure a prompt and efficient service
Able to communicate appropriately and effectively with a wide range of people through a variety of different methods, including sensitive and complex information
Able to work effectively as part of a team and to demonstrate organisational and time management skills prioritising own and team’s work to meet conflicting deadlines
Evidence of the ability to build strong relationships
Ability to translate legislation into accessible formats for a wide range of stakeholders
Ability to interpret data to inform service delivery
Able to use initiative to develop solutions to day to day issues and problems
Active listening skills
Able to record, monitor and evaluate all aspects of work both in a written and in an electronic form, following agreed criteria
Able to collate and analyse data in order to develop and implement strategies to support the pupil
Able to exercise discretion and confidentiality
