We also work with the South Leicestershire Inclusion Partnership which provides support to secondary aged children and young people, Community Paediatrics and Leicestershire LA. Discovery Trust consists of 13 primary schools, 2 SEMH special school and a SEMH Hub based at one of our primary schools.

Our service provides high need support for children and families and also aims to develop an effective wellbeing provision to support families, safeguard children’s mental health and offer training for all people working with our children. We are a team of educational psychologists, assistant psychologists, undergraduate assistants and a full-time administrator. We also work closely with our sister service, Speech and Language Therapy, within EPIC having shared policies and professional meetings.  We are also implement joint projects dependent of local and regional needs.  Our Service is constantly changing to meet local and national need and we continue securing a diverse range of partners (service users) as we grow Discovery Trust.

We are currently seeking to appoint a qualified Educational Psychologist to join our energetic and vibrant team. Where you will be responsible for delivering a psychological service to schools across the Discovery Trust, and their communities, wider county schools, and to undertake duties across the Educational Psychology Team in support of the Senior EP.  Year on year we introduce new training packages and research areas and look to increase our scope as a service, working as creatively as possible.  We have a focus on therapeutic work.  EPIC is considering becoming an approved placement provider to be able to offer TEP placements.  This has led to LA commissioned work, and we are exploring expanding this part of our service.

Our service covers pre-school – Y13 both mainstream, community and specialist provision.

We would welcome applications from Educational Psychologists who are registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and have a professional qualification in Educational Psychology recognised by the British Psychological Society.
