What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Educational Teaching Assistant to support our successful Maths department. This role will also incorporate cover supervision duties within the Maths department for a maximum of 1 days equivalent per week. The salary is a combination of scales to reflect the duties.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Maths teaching staff to implement and oversee agreed work programmes with individual and small groups of students by supporting progress through intervention. This intervention will be in the form of extraction groups and in-class support. Competence in understanding and delivering GCSE Maths content up to grade 5 is essential.

You will need to be able to work collaboratively and flexibly and build good relationships with both students and staff, demonstrating a respectful and caring attitude towards everyone in school. Experience of working with children in a school environment and having the appropriate literacy to support students is required.
