University Academy Long Sutton is a popular, oversubscribed 11-16 Academy in the rural market town of Long Sutton. The Academy is part of the Lincolnshire Educational Trust and this may bring the opportunity to work across the secondary school sites which are within close proximity of each other.
Due to our rapid rate of expansion, we are looking to appoint an EWO. The successful candidate will work closely alongside our Attendance Officer and Senior Leadership Team. You will have an understanding of issues affecting attendance, take a lead role in implementing Child Protection and Safeguarding policies and procedures to improve pupil attendance; taking appropriate interventions where required. You will also have an active role in making home visits to further improve home/school communication.
The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE standard or above in English and Mathematics, have previous experience of monitoring attendance and reporting, be able to effectively use ICT and, whilst not essential, experience in the use of SIMS would be advantageous.
