The Catholic School of St Gregory the Great are looking for an excellent EHCP Teaching Partner to be part of our dedicated and caring staff team.
The Teaching Partner will be working within our SEND team, supporting a child in Year 2 and also guiding sessions within our alternative provision, EDEN (Educational Development Emotional Nurture). The role would include working with the school’s Inclusion Manager to support children with additional needs, including SEND and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges.
Support will focus on building positive relationships, teaching key objectives and adapting tasks so that pupils can reach their full potential. We are looking for someone who is interested in helping us in our mission and has a passion for working with children.
Perhaps you are looking to return to education or thinking about a move into education. Perhaps you are a teacher looking to remain in a school setting without the stresses of teaching. Perhaps you have completed your teacher training but are yet to be employed into a teaching post. Perhaps you are in a different education or childcare setting and fancy a change…either way, this could be the perfect step for you.
Experience in schools would be advantageous but more important is the willingness to learn quickly, have good organisational skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children with a range of needs, working within a strong team who like to think outside the box. An awareness of the importance of Trauma Informed Practice would be useful, but is not essential. We will offer training to support you in the role. This is a rewarding position that enables you to celebrate the children’s achievements.
At The Catholic School of St Gregory the Great we are passionate about spotting and nurturing the talents of every individual. It is important that the successful candidate fully understands and supports the ethos of our school.
Visits to the school are encouraged to fully understand the role. Please arrange appointments through our School Business Manager, Mrs Claire Harte, on 01242 513659 or sbm@st-gregorygreat.gloucs.sch.uk
