Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA)
Contract: Full Time/Permanent
Site: Queen Katharine Academy
Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum (term time plus one week)
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8.00am-4.00pm, Friday 8am – 3:30pm.
Salary:Pathway 4, £23,305.20 - £24,954.99 (FTE £27,334 - £29,269) per annum

If so, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) to join our team at Queen Katharine Academy!
About You
You’ll love this job if you enjoy establishing supportive, caring, and secure relationships with learners. You will be planning and implementing programmes to develop their emotional literacy and wellbeing. You will be contributing to the annual review process for students with EHCPs. Keeping records up to date using the Assess Plan Do Review process will also be a key part of your role.
Qualifications: You have an ELSA accreditation and registration, or are working towards this qualification.
Skills: You are flexible, a team player, and you have the ability to establish supportive relationships with students.
Experience: You have experience of supporting teaching and learning in a formal setting, particularly with children who have SEMH difficulties.
Competency: You have Level 2 qualifications in Maths/numeracy and English/literacy or equivalent.
