What skills and experience we're looking for

As a rapidly expanding and over-subscribed school, we are seeking to appoint a talented practitioner to support the Head of Department in leadership of the English Team. The appointed person will join us from August 2023, and help lead the teaching, learning and curriculum development of English so all our students leave with the knowledge and skills to thrive and make a positive impact on society.

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who wants to work in an environment that genuinely puts pupils first and can inspire staff and students to achieve. Regardless of experience, if you have passion and talent for Personal Development and want to work hard to ignite this in our young people, then you will fit right into our friendly team.

John Ferneley College is an exciting (and regularly inspiring) place to work. We are driven by a single vision which is to do our best for every single student and to create an environment where every student can thrive. This guides all of our decision making and forward planning in a very transparent way.
