  • have experience in teaching Media or a willingness to develop in this area
  • take part and organise events and extracurricular provision.

We have strong links with the community, careers providers and further education providers. This enables all students to engage with employers and providers, which effectively complements their studies at Boldon. Our careers programme aims to provide all students with the necessary information and guidance to make informed choices about their future. We are incredibly proud of our school community and welcome visitors.

Boldon School is currently categorised by Ofsted as a Good provider, with pupils’ personal development being judged as Outstanding.

Like all schools, we have faced the challenges of the post Covid educational landscape and the realignment of student attainment following the centre assessed grades of 2020 and teacher assessed grades of 2021. In our most recent examination results 56% of students achieved 9-4 in English and Mathematics and 37% 9-5. This is in line with our pre-Covid attainment. Maintaining these standards is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of all staff. Teaching standards continue to improve and our attendance teams continue to work closely with families and external agencies to raise student attendance which remains a national priority.

Boldon School continues to grow. The school is now very close to capacity; many parents and guardians are making Boldon their school of choice. For this reason, we are continually seeking the appointment of new members of staff, who are innovative, driven and share our vision to provide the highest quality of teaching and support for all our students. Boldon School is an exciting place to work and will provide you with the opportunity to truly make a difference to young people within our community.
