English Teacher job summary
We are a large over-subscribed secondary school in Hedge End, Southampton that believes every student matters and every moment counts.
We are part of the Wildern Academy Trust which includes Boorley Park Primary School, a further 7-form entry secondary school is currently in the planning stages. This is an exciting time for the trust and all colleagues present and future.
Having been designated as one of the first 100 Teaching Schools in July 2011 we have a proven history of outreach with other schools, both at a Primary and Secondary level. We are a school with significant strength in the CPD of staff, developing our teachers for the next stage of their careers. Graded as ‘OUTSTANDING’ by Ofsted in November 2012 for the third consecutive inspection, we are committed to being a centre of innovation, creativity and enjoyment for both students and staff.
If you are an enthusiastic, innovative English teacher who would like to join our team we would love to hear from you. You must have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with UK teaching experience. Wildern School is a popular, oversubscribed secondary school situated in the Southampton suburbs. We are a school with significant strength in the CPD of staff, developing our teachers for the next stage of their careers.
