English Teacher job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate, specialised in this area of the curriculum to teach English from KS3 through to GCSE level. This role also includes undertaking a tutor responsibility. The English Faculty is a highly cohesive department that lead from the front with regards to both pupil achievement and engagement. We are seeking an individual who has a passion for making English an accessible and exciting subject for all abilities and who has high aspirations for the pupils they teach.
The successful candidate will not need to have experience with working with children with special needs as full training will be given but an empathy with them is essential. Dove House has a strong tradition of developing its own staff.

Dove House is an outstanding school (Ofsted 2020) for children with moderate learning difficulties and autism. We converted to an academy in November 2011 and have enjoyed many benefits from the autonomy this brings.
