TEACHER OF ENGLISH
Full time permanent
Required for September 2022, or as soon as possible
This is a full-time permanent post, required as soon as possible, or from September 2022, or as soon as possible. We are looking for a fully qualified, enthusiastic teacher of English to join a high performing department. The successful applicant will have the ability to confidently teach all aspects of the subject at both Key Stage 3 and GCSE at Key Stage 4. Applications from NQTs are welcome.
We pride ourselves on being a highly driven team, passionate about our subject; we want to give pupils every opportunity for academic success, whilst seeking to find fresh ways of making the learning relevant, inspiring and enjoyable. The department has achieved outstanding GCSE results for the past three years: In 2019, English GCSE results were the fourth highest in the county. Ofsted recently commended the department for achieving ‘the greatest consistency’ between the progress of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged pupils and was highlighted as an outstanding team within the school.
