Teacher, Suitable for NQTs
Fixed term (Maternity Cover)
Main pay range 1 to Upper pay range 3, £29,915 to £45,766
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher for a one year fixed term maternity contract to join a thriving department in a successful school. You will be expected to teach across KS3 & KS4, so will need to be motivated and passionate about learning; a good team player with a commitment to high quality, inclusive education and be willing and able to contribute to the wider school community. If you have energy, enthusiasm and the desire to inspire a love of English then we would like to hear from you.
At CBSC there is a strong emphasis on sustaining and raising achievement in innovative ways and there is a genuine commitment to collaboration and professional development with a bespoke CPD programme.
We welcome applications from NQTs who will be well supported by experienced mentors or from aspiring teachers looking to make the next move in their career where there are exceptional opportunities for further professional development and promotion.
Initial discussions with Oliver Wilson-Hughes, AAP & HOD English are warmly welcomed and can be arranged by contacting the school
Further details and an online Application Pack are available on our website
CBSC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to undertake a criminal check via the DBS before they can be appointed
We recommend early applications as the school reserves the right to close the advert prior to the stated deadline date.
We believe in 'growing great teachers' and have a two year training programme in place for NQTs.
A bespoke in house CPD programme for all staff which, this year, is held on Thursday afternoons (the school closes early) and covers areas such as (and this is by no means exhaustive) Teacher Toolkit sessions, Leadership Pathways, Departmental Development Time, T&L Groups, IT Development and SEN Strategy.
We have invested heavily in our school with new Maths and English blocks added in the last 4 years and, this year, will be adding 2 new Science Classrooms to further enhance our school.
