We are a progressive and innovative school that provides a positive and productive place to work for teachers of all experience levels. We offer a CPD programme that offers a flexible and personalised approach to professional development. We have recently made significant changes to reduce teacher workload and encourage a strong culture of work life balance.Wrotham is a small village in the heart of Kent, surrounded by a scenic rural landscape and beautiful countryside with excellent (5 minute) access from the A20/M20 and close proximity to the A2/M2/M25/M26. Journey by road from nearby Bromley/ Dartford/ Bexley/ Orpington varies from 15-30 minutes. The local mainline station is a 10 minute walk from the school and is on the direct commuter line to Victoria Station in central London; this line includes stops at Bromley South. Wrotham is part of the Sevenoaks commuter belt and sits just outside of South East London. Recent house prices in Wrotham (April 2015) are typically lower than comparable properties in nearby South/ South East London postcodes, rental properties follow a similar pattern. This makes Wrotham and the surrounding areas an ideal place to live and work, particularly for first time buyers and those facing the challenge of rising house prices in London and its suburbs.

We are a pleasant semi- rural school just outside of London with good access to the capital via a mainline train service into Victoria. Unlike areas closer to the city, the local area provides more affordable house prices and rental as well as benefiting from beautiful local countryside.
Our students make excellent progress and are well behaved; this is made very clear in our Ofsted report from May 2018. We have a committed and highly appreciated staff team who are highly thought of by students and parents.
We are an academy and whilst having high expectations of our teachers and leaders we have strong progression routes for middle and senior leadership; a supportive team of staff and a low staff turnover. We work closely with our teachers to ensure that unnecessary paperwork and admin are kept to a minimum and that a healthy and productive work life balance is maintained. We have an innovative programme of action based professional development opportunities that contributes to a 2 week October half term that has been very well received by our students, parents and staff.
We respect experience and excellence in our teachers and encourage experienced staff to apply for vacancies, we remunerate this accordingly. We offer an additional pay award for staff that perform at an outstanding level as part of our appraisal review process.
