The Trustees are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, an Enhanced Teaching Assistant (Maternity cover) for Sedgefield Community College.
Would you like to progress your career in a school judged by Ofsted to be ‘outstanding’ and where student achievement and attitudes are amongst the best across our entire region? Would you like to work in a school that enjoys exceptional facilities in our state-of-the-art building and where staff wellbeing and opportunities for professional development are at the heart of everything we do? If the answer to both of these questions is, ‘Yes,’ then Sedgefield Community College could be the right school for you.
The role of Enhanced Teaching Assistant involves providing effective support to identified individuals and groups of SEN students under the guidance of our SEND Coordinator. This includes working alongside teachers and other professionals helping ensure work programmes are accessible to individuals and that tasks are being completed as intended. In addition, the role requires post holders to take a key role in the delivery of literacy and numeracy developments programmes.
This post may be particularly attractive to those who would like to make a career in teaching and would like to first gain experience in a highly supportive school setting.
