This is an exciting time to join The Active Learning Trust central team. Our new Chief Executive Officer joined the Trust on 1 January 2023 and has an exciting and positive change journey planned. The appointee will report to the newly appointed Head of Estates and will work in collaboration with the Estates Officer (Suffolk) and the other teams that make up the Operations Directorate (Procurement, Data and IT), along with the academy-based estate leads, school leaders and other members of the central Trust team.

You will support the Head of Estates to deliver the Estates Strategy and develop the fundamentals of good estates management for school across the trust. Working closely with schools and the Head of Estates, you will ensure estates management and health & safety are fit for purpose and premises operations comply with relevant legislation by offering professional advice and guidance to the site teams in our schools on matters relating to estate management and health and safety.

We are looking for an individual with experience of health and safety management of premises in education. If you are highly motivated and committed to ensuring that our estates enable the best learning environments for our children and young people, this is an exciting opportunity for you.

In return, Active Learning Trust will offer you:

  • An opportunity to work as part of a supportive team and empower you to further develop within the Trust.
  • Access to LGPS pension.
  • Ongoing high quality professional development opportunities.
  • Benefits including but not limited to the opportunity to work flexibly, including hybrid working arrangements, free onsite parking, Cycle to Work Scheme and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

Active Learning Trust is a Trust based across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, serving over 9000 children, with over 1500 employees. We are a family of 20 academies.
