Exam Invigilator job summary

We are seeking a Exam Invigilator on a casual basis to join our Academy from May 2025.

This role is essential to the smooth running of the examination process. You will need outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be committed to the role and be reliable and punctual. Every year we provide invigilation and statutory training to our team, so whilst previous experience is advantageous, it is not an essential requirement. Experience in a similar setting, or working with young people would be beneficial. Invigilators are able to choose how many exams they invigilate, so there is a degree of flexibility which may allow you to hold this role alongside other commitments or responsibilities, however, we do require complete commitment to whatever work is agreed in advance to ensure the smooth delivery of the exams season for our students.

Invigilators assist with the setting up of examination venues with appropriate resources, are responsible for the security of papers and maintain exam conditions until candidates are dismissed. They are responsible for recording attendance and reporting absences, instructing students on exam board requirements before exams commence, overseeing the supervision of students during exams and maintaining a quiet environment for all participants.

If you think you have the skills to undertake this type of responsibility, we invite you to submit an application form by the deadline below.
