Bury C of E High School has recently joined the Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi academy trust established in 2017. This is an exciting time to join us as it provides a great opportunity to work closely with the other schools in the MAT; sharing good practice and building on our ongoing progress.

 

Main Duties:

  • Provide support during both internal and external examinations within the academy
  • Assisting with setting up examination venues;
  • Ensuring absolute silence is maintained during exams;
  • Invigilating during examinations;
  • Escorting candidates from the examination venue if required;
  • Collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination;
  • Supervising candidates leaving examination venues.

 

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Assists the Examinations Officer and Lead Invigilator in maintaining the security and smooth running of the exam rooms in accordance with the external awarding body requirements
  • have a passion for well-organised administration systems and processes. This will include keeping papers and materials secure, during and after examinations, supervising and observing vigilantly throughout the duration of the exam.
  • Have and ability to follow stringent exam procedures and rules is absolutely essential.
  • Be keen team players as successful candidates will often be working in groups with 3 or 4 others.

 

The working hours will be:

There is no minimum number of hours guaranteed but interested applicants must be able to commit to being able to work during each examination period for a minimum of 3 days per week.

The role is offered on a casual/flexible basis and the working hours will be variable in accordance with the examination timetable. 

Examinations are held throughout the year with the period May – June being a peak time in our calendar.

Hours of work will vary over mornings and afternoons up to maximum of 35 hours per week for people interested in additional hours.
