What skills and experience we're looking for
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Maintain the security of exam papers at all times and ensure that the conduct of the exam takes place within the guidelines of the JCQ framework (training will be given)
- Check the exam room is set up in accordance with JCQ regulations
- Collect question papers, attendance registers and all other necessary exam materials
- Ensure a calm environment to give candidates the best possible opportunity to be succesful in their exams
- To be vigilant at all times during anexamination
- Notifying the Exams Officer of any changes or absences
- To deal sensitively with candidates who have special arrangements
- To be able to work flexibly
- Collect and collate completed scripts at the end of the exam and return to the Exams Office
The post holder may be required to carry out other appropriate duties within the context of the job role and grade.
What the school offers its staff
We are looking to expand our team of Exam Invigilators to support our Academy with invigilation of external and internal examinations. The key aim of the post is to ensure students have an equal, safe and secure environment in which to sit theirexaminations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) guidelines for conductingexaminations. Applicants should be reliable, flexible and available during ourexamseasons (usually March, May, June and December). Within theexamseason working hours are on a part time, casual basis. Experience is preferred but not required as full training will be given.
