Exam Officer job summary

We are looking for a strong professional to join our experienced and incredibly supportive Raising Standards Team. We are looking for someone who believes (as we do!) that whatever your starting point in life, this should not dictate your future destination. We want someone who believes in social mobility. We are seeking to appoint an Examinations Officer to work with the Data Manager to support the delivery of all information related to examination entries and examination results to all stakeholders i.e. parents, students and staff.

The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced team of senior leaders and working with the Data Manager Manager to ensure accuracy of data recording across all cohorts and will be joining us at a very exciting stage in our journey of becoming the school of choice for families in the Wednesbury area.

This role would suit an enthusiastic professional who is looking to join a team of like-minded individuals to play a key role in being part of our Raising Standards team and be able to effectively lead on managing, planning and delivery of all external examinations and formal internal mock examinations in accordance with exam board guidance and adhering to JCQ regulations. The successful candidate will also provide support the delivery of all information related to exam entries and exam results to all stakeholder. A core purpose of this role will be to support the raising of attainment and progress levels through the delivery of external examinations, in accordance with JCQ guidelines and school policy, and internal mock examination schedules. In addition, the successful candidate will also play a vital role in supporting the accuracy of assessment data through the documenting and verification of all qualifications.

You will be joining a popular and heavily oversubscribed 11–16 mainstream school with the additional expertise and facilities to include two focused SEND provisions, for young people on the autistic spectrum, and for those who are deaf and hearing impaired (ARC and Deaf Academy). We have also developed a base on site to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. Furthermore, our small and bespoke sixth form provision (WOA6) caters for students in Years 12 and 13 who have EHCPs.
