What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint several enthusiastic Examination Invigilators to join our in-house team of around 10 staff. The successful candidates do not need specific experience as training will be given. Although not essential, experience of working with young people (ideally in a school environment) would be an advantage. You will be responsible for the supervision of students, confidential examination papers/documentation and information relating to students and their assessment records. This post requires strong communication skills, a good level of literacy, the ability to work as part of a team, as well as the ability to show initiative.
We have work available throughout the academic year, please see the accompanying letter for further details. Examination sessions run in the morning from 08:00-12:00, and in the afternoon from 12:30-16:00. Each session lasts for approximately 3-4 hours. Work is available on a variable hour’s basis, dependent on availability. We are specifically looking to recruit invigilators who are able to invigilate year-on-year. Training in preparation for this role will be delivered in person and online. There will be an opportunity to shadow an experienced invigilator for a morning and an afternoon session.
