Examinations Officer job summary

Corley Academy provides a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum, which enables all of our students to achieve success and leave prepared for their next journey.

Our students are a credit to our school and bring with them a wide variety of needs, abilities, aspirations and behaviours. They provide inspiration as well as challenge.

We are looking to appoint a methodical, calm and organised administrator to work closely with our Assistant Headteacher: Curriculum and Achievement and take responsibility for the administration of all internal and external examinations in accordance with the qualifying bodies’ regulations. As a secondary special school the majority of our students will sit GCSE examinations in a variety of subjects, as well as Foundation Maths and English, and Asdan courses We currently have 162 students on roll.

Although we need the successful candidate to have experience of examination administration, experience of a special school and all of the examination bodies we work with is not essential as training and induction will be given.

The successful candidate will be flexible, proactive and have a high level of ICT and communication skills. They must be able to work under their own initiative, and ensure that they take into account the needs of the whole school. They will work with our TA's/HLTA who are also our invigilators, we do not bring outside staff in.

We would hope to be able to offers induction with our existing exams officer, if timings allow prior to the start date.

Although a car is not required for this post, we would point out that we are not on a regular bus route.
