Examinations Officer - Grade 6/7 depending on experience job summary
NJC Grade 6-7 depending on experience.
Working 37 hours either working term time for for 41 week per year. (including compulsory 2 weeks in August covering examination release dates) or working all year around
You will be responsible for the efficient administration and co-ordination of all examinations across the college, following systems, policies and procedures to ensure that students are registered and entered correctly for examinations in accordance with the requirements of the college, the relevant Awarding Organisations and funding bodies.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate the administration and invigilation arrangements for the conduct of examinations/tests, both external and internal mock exams. This includes: compiling examination timetables, ensuring rooms are allocated, arranging invigilators, receipt, safekeeping and security of examination stationery and papers, dispatch of scripts whilst ensuring at all times accuracy of work and adherence to deadlines and regulations.
Applicants must have proven experience of working with a data handling system. Working in an education setting is an advantage. The ideal candidate will be IT literate and have knowledge of working with databases. Strong skills of organisation, time management and efficiency are essential. The ability to communicate well with others is also very important.
