Exams / HR Admin Officer job summary

This is a new role based at St Anne’s Academy, Middleton. The Exams and HR Admin Officer will oversee the smooth running of examinations at the school and will also, under the guidance of the Business Manager of the school, provide administrative support for Human Resources.

We are looking for someone who has a high level of efficiency to run pre-defined processes, can expertly use computerised administrative systems and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills due to the high levels of interaction with our students and staff. The role also needs great organisation and administrative diligence.

The Team here is growing. St Anne’s is part of the Cranmer Education Trust which is a small but growing Schools Trust. By 2022 we will have three secondary schools in our Trust and what comes with that, is a high level of support and access to expertise. This is an excellent time to join the team, as we develop collaborative structures and systems to enhance and support our growing Schools Trust.

Applicants must have an appetite to develop and learn, with a positive and proactive approach to work. The school specific systems are likely to be something the successful candidate will need to learn, but already having strong administrative skills and a proactive approach to work, this should not be a problem.

The Cranmer Education Trust consists of St Anne’s CE Academy, The Blue Coat School which is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school, two primary schools – East Crompton Saint George’s and Mayfield Primary, both of which have been judged as ‘good’ by Ofsted and Manchester Nexus, our School Centered Initial Teacher Training school. This is an exciting time for the Trust, having been designated as the Teaching Hub for Oldham and Tameside: Teaching School Hubs will support schools and trusts to recruit, develop, and retain the very best teachers and leaders for the children and young people they serve. To do this, we will signpost and deliver high-quality teacher development programmes across all phases and sectors for teachers at every stage of their career. We will also be opening a new secondary school in Oldham in 2022 for 1,200 pupils. For further details please visit https://careers.cranmereducationtrust.com/

This position will be based at St Anne’s Academy, Middleton, but may from time to time be required to travel as necessary to collaborate with other schools which are all locally based.

We offer:
• Opportunities for professional development in a growing Trust
• LGPS career average pension scheme including life insurance and dependent's pension
• Generous holiday entitlement and sick pay scheme, increasing with length of service
• A very convenient location with motorway networks (a 2 minute drive from Junction 19 of the M62), buses and trams close by.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
Please note CVs are not accepted.

Closing date for applications: Monday 14th June at 9am
Interviews: TBC

Start Date: Will depend on the successful candidate’s notice period, but we wish to appoint as soon as possible, ideally before September.

The Cranmer Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The school has made incredible progress with students' online learning and is trailblazing the use of Microsoft Teams, rapidly developing pedagogy so that students continue to be engaged at home as much as at school. The building is a new build with excellent facilities and grounds. The site is easily accessible in less than one mile from Junction 19 of the M62.
