Exams Officer job summary

Due to growth and development internally we are seeking a new Exams Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small secondary school on all aspects of exam and assessment administration.

The hours of work are 37 hours a week (8.00am-4.00pm); Monday to Friday, term time (plus 5 teacher training days and two additional weeks around exams timetable - 41 weeks a year)

Wootton Park School, our founding School of Wootton Park Academy Trust is an all-through (4-19) school, In September 2022, we had our first Year 6 & Year 13 cohorts, we are now operational in every year group. In 2020 we moved into our brand new £20 million state-of-the-art school building.

In July 2019 Wootton Park School was judged to be outstanding in every category by Ofsted. This was maintained in March 2025 inspection.

Wootton Park School recently achieved the Quality Inclusion Mark and the Wellbeing Award for Schools.

In September 2025 we have opened our second School, Overstone Gate Primary.

Wootton Park Academy Trust, trading as Wootton Park School

This is an exciting time for the Trust as we realise our ambition to build on our existing outstanding school, Wootton Park School and develop the Trust to include additional outstanding schools in Northampton and the surrounding areas. Wootton Park Academy Trust currently comprises of two schools with a third proposed for 2027.

Our aspirational Trust aims to provides a first-rate learning environment and delivers high levels of academic achievement and personal development for all, while promoting the value of community participation and building a stronger society.

Our first academy in the Trust, Wootton Park School, opened in 2016 with fewer than 20 staff and now employs 200+.

In July 2019 Wootton Park School received our first Ofsted inspection and were judged to be outstanding in every category. Inspectors noted that “The quality of teaching, learning and assessment is of a consistently high quality” and that “Achievement is outstanding in the early years and at key stages 1 and 3". "Staff morale is exceptionally high" Ofsted 2019.

Our second School, Overstone Gate Primary School, opens in September 2025 with 1 Reception class and will grow year on year.

A third School, Dallington Park School; a secondary school, is proposed to open in September 2027.

Our hope is that our journey models that of Wootton Park School in delivering consistently high quality outstanding education.
