Executive Head of English job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious leader of English to work across three Harris Federation schools in the Thurrock/Havering area: Harris Academy Rainham, Harris Academy Riverside and Harris Academy Chafford Hundred. These are three highly ambitious Academies with different contexts and stages of development.
Your opportunity
You will oversee the Heads of Department to ensure the smooth running of the English departments, supporting in areas such as staff development; curriculum development; teaching & learning and assessment. You will be expected to raise standards of English across the Academies and look for opportunities for inter academy working and development.
This is a senior leadership position and would suit an ambitious and dynamic qualified English teacher with a proven track record of academic success. If you love teaching English this role will enable you to develop your expertise and leadership qualities, whilst working for a dynamic and ambitious Federation with genuine opportunities for career development.
