Executive Headteacher Kingstone Academy Trust
The Board of Trustees is very pleased to be able to offer a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to lead the team at Kingstone Academy Trust.
We are looking for someone who will retain the key aspects of our ethos and, in addition, will provide visionary leadership for the Trust, which currently consists of Kingstone High School and Kingstone and Thruxton Primary School.
The Board of Trustees is proud of the progress Kingstone Academy Trust has made over recent years, and we are ambitious for the future and believe that the Trust is well placed to make further considerable advances in the coming years. This is a fantastic opportunity for an equally ambitious individual to take on the role of Executive Headteacher and to lead the next phase of our development.
Excellent relationships exist between our two schools and the benefits of this to our students and staff are obvious. We believe the way that the schools work together is vital and it will be essential that the new Executive Headteacher will see the value of that relationship and nurture its further development.
If you are looking to build on proven and successful school leadership and believe in the benefits of a 3 to 16 education, then this opportunity is right for you.

Kingstone Academy Trust comprises Kingstone High School and Kingstone and Thruxton Primary School, both rated Ofsted ‘good’ and both situated on the same site in the village of Kingstone. Kingstone village is fast growing and located seven miles south of the up and coming cathedral city of Hereford. Hereford itself is in the process of welcoming a brand new university. The city and surrounding area offer a wonderful quality of life and many exciting places to visit. Herefordshire is increasingly being seen as a centre for tourism and its food scene is often featured in Sunday magazines.
Originally serving the local village, the two schools now take in pupils from a wide geographical area, with a good many now travelling from the South Wye area of Hereford. Preferred parental choice had meant that the schools were already growing quickly, but an increasing amount of housing developments earmarked for the area have also seen the High School allocated funding for its predicted future growth.
The two schools have been in a multi-academy arrangement since 2011, with the Board having oversight through the Executive Headteacher for both schools. The Board of Trustees are proud of their vibrant and dynamic schools, and contribute their time and expertise both collectively and individually, to further enhance the high quality education provided by the schools.
The Academy has one senior leadership team across both schools of eight members, led by the Executive Headteacher, comprising the Head of Primary, a Deputy Headteacher for the High School, three Assistant Heads and the Business Manager.
