Executive Leader/CEO job summary
The Gateway Multi-Academy Trust (GMAT), based in the south of Hampshire, is seeking to recruit an outstanding individual to lead the strategic development of our MAT. This role is 0.6 FTE, however trustees would also welcome applications from ambitious candidates seeking to expand their current leadership portfolio to full-time.
We are a young MAT comprising of secondary, primary and community trading arm. The trust was established in 2019 and has a distinct comprehensive ethos that has equity, inclusion and diversity at its core with the aim of providing the best academic and social standards in the community.
Due to the existing Executive Leader retiring in August 2022, trustees are seeking an ambitious candidate who shares our ethos and can build on our success, create new and exciting partnerships and lead on the next stage in the evolution of GMAT.
Our new Executive Leader will be an outstanding strategic leader who can either work solely part time or who has the capacity to add to their existing role. Trustees are seeking to appoint the highest calibre of candidate and we would welcome applications from ambitious candidates seeking to expand their current leadership portfolio. We are looking for someone who has:
• A proven track record of delivering excellence.
• Experience of improving schools at headship level
• The vision to build a MAT through effective partnerships and shared values
• The ability to inspire staff to expect the highest standards of educational outcomes
• A passion for community education in looking after young people and their families
The successful candidate will be tasked to lead the trust combining the continued focus on high quality educational and social outcomes, whilst working to grow the trust and forge new and exciting partnerships. As well as having the exciting opportunity to shape the learning of our young people and families, our new Executive Leader/CEO will also be able to access a wide-ranging programme of benefits and CPD.
