About The Talentum Learning Trust

Type
Multi-academy trust

The Talentum Learning Trust is based in the historic town of Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands and was formed in April 2016. Three schools, previously in a Hard Federation, converted to academy status within the Multi-Academy Trust.

The schools, Churnet View Middle School, Leek High School and Westwood College had a history of collaboration and working together which was formalised through the hard federation in 2012. A natural development was to convert to a MAT and further extend the formality of the relationship.

The schools continued to work closely with all of the schools in the town and in 2019, six of these joined the Trust; All Saints’ CE First School; Beresford Memorial CE First School; Blackshaw Moor CE First School; Leek First School; Rushton Primary School; and Westwood First School.

All of the schools share a rich heritage and a good reputation locally and beyond.

The Trust has a broad collection of Members and Directors who offer support and challenge to the schools.

The Trust is committed to providing the best education and support for all, regardless of background, faith or ability and is committed to the belief that we are stronger together. There is an agreed commitment in all aspects of the schools, communities and the Trust to “Excellence for all”.
