Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Class Teacher to join our dedicated team, specifically for a combined Reception and Nursery Class as maternity cover. The role is a job share for 3 days a week (Monday – Wednesday). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of our children during this critical stage of their development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and appropriate provision that caters for the varying needs of Reception and Nursery children.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies while creating a respectful and supportive atmosphere.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver a broad, balanced and rich EYFS curriculum.
- Provide regular feedback to children and parents on progress and areas for development.
- Organise and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and educational trips.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
- Passion and deep knowledge of Early Years
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Up to date with current thinking around Quality First teaching
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
